Benefits to You
A free energy assessment helps you identify ways to save energy around your home and includes the installation of energy-saving upgrades.
HVAC upgrades improve comfort, lower energy bills, and help your system run more efficiently and reliably year-round.
Insulation improvements help lower your energy costs and keep your home more comfortable throughout the year.
Air sealing helps improve comfort and efficiency by sealing the gaps and cracks through which air can escape.
Health and safety upgrades can improve your home’s indoor air quality and reduce potential hazards around your home.


To Qualify for Free Home Weatherization, You Must:
Have an active Elizabethtown residential account. Note: Renters must complete the landlord permission.
Live in a single-family home, townhome/condo, or multifamily building with less than four units.
Heat your home with natural gas.
Have a combined household income of 250–400% of the current federal poverty guidelines listed below.
And You Must Meet at Least ONE of the Following Income Requirements:
Your primary residence must be located within a moderate-income census tract as defined by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (www.ffiec.gov). Census tract confirmation can be verified by visiting geomap.ffiec.gov/FFIECGeocMap/GeocodeMap1.aspx, entering your address, clicking on “Census Demographic Data”, and looking at the Tract Income Level.
You provide proof of participation in the New Jersey SHARES (NJ SHARES) federal/safety net partnership program.
You provide proof that your household income is above 250% and below 400% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (see table below).
